Terms of Service

The Basics

iKarTehBot is a personal project I'm sharing for free. By using the bot, you agree to these simple usage guidelines:

• Use the bot respectfully and don't try to break it or abuse its features
• Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Don't spam commands and/or try to bypass any server's rules or restrictions
• Use common sense and don't use the bot to harass or harm anyone. This includes hate speech, threats, doxxing, attempts to impersonate others, or any other malicious behavior. Seriously, it's not hard to not act like an asshole. If it'd be such a problem for it to happen to you, the logical thing would be to not do it to others.

What You Should Know

I can't guarantee anything! This is a hobby project, so I can't promise the bot will always work perfectly or be available 24/7. Sometimes things break and I'm sorry it happens. I'll try my best to fix issues as they arise.

Development is constant. I might add, remove, or change features at any time with or without notice. I'll try to keep things stable, but this is and will always be a "work in progress".

No warranty. The bot is provided "as is" WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEES. Use it at your own discretion. You always retain the right to stop using the bot.

Violations and Enforcement

If you abuse the bot and/or violate these terms, I and any maintainers reserve the right to take any of the following actions at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice:

• Restrict your access to certain commands
• Ban your user account or server from using the bot entirely
• Report serious violations (including any offending guild IDs, user IDs, and related interactions) to Discord Trust & Safety

That said, while we reserve these rights, enforcement is discretionary. Use this bot responsibly, and all should be fine and dandy.

Liability

I and any maintainers of this bot are not responsible for:

• Any issues that arise from using the bot
• Data loss (game history, reminders, messages deleted with /purge) or interruptions in service
• Content generated by third-party APIs (jokes, facts, etc.)

Your Responsibilities

• You're responsible for how you use the bot in your server
• Make sure your server members understand these terms
• Keep your server settings and permissions configured appropriately

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Your continued use of iKarTehBot after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Please refer to the Support Server to get notified of any major changes or periodically refer back to this page for the most current version of these Terms.
